Pranutan Bahl, daughter of Mohnish Bahl and granddaughter of Nutan, reveals her tough journey in Bollywood. Despite her legacy, she faced two years of rejection and insists not every star kid gets success easily. She debuted in 2019 with ‘Notebook’, produced by Salman Khan, opposite Zaheer Iqbal.

Talking to Hindustan Times, she mentioned that because she was surrounded by actors, it became easier for her to understand that it’s a tough industry. She learned that there would be many spells without work and that she had been warned about this. She also pointed out that many people without parents in the industry don’t get these warnings, making their emotional journey more difficult.Understanding the industry’s tough realityFurther, Bahl added, “Every star kid does not get everything on a platter, and I am living proof of it. It’s not like just because I’m an actor’s kid, I have got things on a platter or my family is funding films from the back end.”The emotional journey and early auditionsThe actress also shared that she didn’t have to deal with the emotional upheaval of being an actor in that sense, so everything was not a shock to her. However, she acknowledged that the emotional journey is different and involves facing a lot of rejection. She said she started her auditions in 2016 and got her first movie in 2018.Acting Debut with ‘Notebook’On the work front, Pranutan began her acting career in 2019 with the film ‘Notebook’, where she starred opposite Zaheer Iqbal.
