People thought Aishwarya Rai had an attitude after Miss World win, but here’s what her ‘Taal’ co-star has to say!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan literally was tagged the ‘most beautiful woman’ and after she won the title of Miss World, her popularity was sky high. Just then, the actress also joined movies when she was at the peak of fame and did ‘Iruvar’, ‘Aur Pyaar Hogaya’. Post that, Aishwarya was signed for Subhash Ghai’s ‘Taal‘, which released in 1999. At that point of time, everyone thought that the actress was arrogant but in a recent interview, her co-star from ‘Taal’, Jividha Sharma has opened up on her experience of working with the actress.
Sharma said in an interview with Lallantop, that due to these rumours about Aishwarya’s attitude, she came in to the movie with assumptions. However, that wasn’t the case. Jividha said, “People had said she has an attitude because of the Miss World title and all that. So even I went in with that impression. But when I actually met her and spent time with her on set, I realized she was nothing like that. She’s very simple, very grounded—a genuinely good person.”
The actress further spoke about Aishwarya’s professionalism and said, “She was extremely hardworking. We had several scenes together, and I observed that she was totally focused. She didn’t take her role lightly, even though she already had that big title attached to her name. She would keep rehearsing her scenes, especially dance steps, until she got them perfect.”
Aishwarya also inspired Jividha when it came to the dance portions in the film when they had to do kathak together. “Despite being trained in Kathak and having all those credentials, she didn’t take anything for granted. She never acted like she knew it all. If a step didn’t look right, she would do it again and again. She wouldn’t give up until it was flawless. That really inspired me. I genuinely liked her and even wanted to be like her at that point,” said Jividha.
‘Taal’ starred Akshaye Khanna and Anil Kapoor with Aishwarya and is considered one of the best films of all their careers.
