Actress Sreeleela has been part of multiple star-studded projects. Expanding her filmography after making her debut with the Kannada film ‘Kiss’, she has become one of the most sought actresses in cinema. She is set to make her Tamil debut in ‘Parasakhti’ starring opposite Sivakarthikeyan. Recently, the actress shared her fondness for Malayalam cinema and actors she would like to work with.
Sreeleela names her favourite Malayalam actors
During a pre-release event of ‘Parasakhti’ in Kerala, Sreeleela was asked a question about which Malayalam actor she would like to work with. As per a report by OTTPlay, the actress named two actors. She said, “I have always been very fond of Mammootty sir and Dulquer sir.” Her answer won many hearts. Mammootty is one of the biggest stars in Malayalam cinema. His son Dulquer Salmaan is also loved by fans across many languages.
Parasakthi promotions and film details
With respect to her upcoming period drama, ‘Parasakthi’, directed by Sudha Kongara, the team is promoting the film in Kerala. During the event, Sivakarthikeyan spoke a famous Mohanlal dialogue, which made fans happy. The film is yet to receive its censor certificate. It also includes Ravi Mohan and Atharvaa set to play important roles.
Release plans and censor delay
‘Parasakthi’ is said to revolve around anti-Hindi agitations in Tamil Nadu. The film is said to be released on January 10th, however, with only two days left for release, the censor certificate is still pending. Because of similar issues, Vijay’s film ‘Jana Nayagan’ was already postponed. Fans are now waiting to see if Parasakthi will release on time.
Sreeleela’s current and upcoming projects
On the current work front, Sreeleela was last seen in the Telugu film ‘Mass Jathara’ and is set for her Tamil debut. Speaking of her Hindi outings, she is starring opposite Kartik Aaryan in a romantic musical film directed by Anurag Basu. Earlier expected to be named ‘Aashiqui 3’, it has reportedly been renamed ‘Tu Meri Zindagi Hai’ due to creative and legal reasons.
