NYC educators trained to shield students from ICE threats amid immigration crackdown: Here is what they were taught



The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) in New York City is helping educators protect immigrant families amidst increased ICE threats under the Trump administration. Through workshops, teachers are trained to distribute “red cards” informing migrants of their rights and advising them not to open doors to ICE. The UFT aims to ease student fears and ensure immigrant families’ safety in schools and communities.
