Keerthy Suresh on her wedding with Antony Thattil: ‘I thought we will elope’ |
Keerthy Suresh has recently reflected on her marriage to Antony Thattil. She revealed that they never expected a grand wedding; they thought they would elope! The couple had been courting each other for several years before tying the knot in December 2024. They got married as per both traditional Hindu and Malayali Christian customs. The big fat wedding was attended by the who’s who of cinema, including Thalapathy Vijay. During a recent home tour with Asian Paints, Keerthy Suresh expressed how precious and overwhelming the wedding day was for them. “We never even dreamt of a wedding like this because literally I thought we will elope,” she said. The couple married after 15-years of romance.Given that they both come from different religious backgrounds, the couple thought there would be hurdles. “At home, we assumed we might have issues due to religious differences. I spoke to dad one day four years ago, but he made it smooth. It was nothing like I had imagined,” Keerthy Suresh earlier revealed in the ‘Jayammu Nischayammu Raa’ show. “I never dreamt of a wedding like this and to make that happen like that, we were speechless after a point of time. You’ve been longing for 15 years and that’s all come to those 30 seconds. At that point, I couldn’t see anything else. I was all blank. That’s probably the first time, I saw him tear up. It’s been a beautiful journey, it’s been great,” she added. Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh also gave a tour of her Kochi residence. The beautiful home set against the serene backdrop of Kerala’s backwaters is a perfect marriage of modern design with traditional touches.On the work front, Keerthy Suresh will be next seen in ‘Thottam’.
