The event encouraged conversation on the subject and discussed lifestyle changes to combat common health issues among men.The event started with a game on men’s health, followed by the lamp lighting, felicitations, and messages from doctors. The evening ended over a buffet dinner.

Speaking on the ocassion, Dr Vivek Agarwala, director, medical oncology and haemato-oncology, Narayana Health Howrah, said, “Men can reduce chances of getting cancer by changing habits that can cause issues like diabetes and increased belly fat. A little discipline can make a big difference.” Dr Debasis Das, senior consultant cardiac surgeon at the hospital, said, “Heart health is a major concern for men, as most are regularly exposed to work stress, and many are smokers/drinkers. A few lifestyle tweaks can change all that.” Dr Priyabrata Adhikari, consultant uro concology at the hospital added, “In my line of work, most patients are men. But what’s worrying now is that, due to lifestyle choices men are getting prostatic or testicular cancer at younger ages.”Sponsors express pride
