In her first post on X, Sunita Williams reveals what she misses the most while in space

While everyone’s waiting for Sunita Williams return to the earth, her oldest post on X (formerly Twitter) reveals what she might be missing while being stranded in the space.
Sunita Williams has been stuck in the space since June 6. She embarked on a space mission on June 5 with fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore for a week’s mission. However, due to technical fault in the Boeing Starliner spacecraft, in which the astronauts had left, the Starliner came back to earth uncrewed leaving behind the astronauts. On March 13 SpaceX’s Crew 10 mission was planned to leave the earth and bring back the stranded astronauts however due to technical reasons the mission was cancelled.
As Sunita and Butch stay on space fans and followers of the astronauts are praying their safe return to the earth following which both of them might have difficulties both physically and mentally to adjust to the earth’s gravitational force.
Astronauts face mental health challenges during space missions due to isolation, confinement, and prolonged separation from loved ones. The harsh environment of space, coupled with the pressure of mission success, can lead to stress, anxiety, and even depression. Factors such as disrupted sleep cycles, microgravity effects, and limited social interaction can further impact psychological well-being.
In her first post, Sunita Williams shares how much she misses her family.
“My very first tweet and my last from the US. People always ask me what I miss on earth when I’m in space…,” she posted on X captioning a beautiful picture of her pet running on beach.
