Hrithik Roshan to resume ‘War 2’ shoot by April end: Report
Ayan Mukerji‘s highly anticipated film ‘War 2‘, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, is generating significant buzz. Recently, Hrithik sustained a leg injury during rehearsals for a dance sequence with Jr NTR, prompting a delay in the song’s shoot. As Hrithik recuperates, Ayan has proceeded with filming a brief sequence near Mazgaon Docks in Mumbai using body doubles and junior artists. Hrithik is expected to rejoin the production by the end of April once he has fully recovered.

A source revealed to Mid-Day that the patch shoot for ‘War 2’ was conducted using body doubles and junior artists while Hrithik continues his recovery. He is undergoing regular movement training and physiotherapy. The actor is expected to resume filming by late April. The medical clearance for the same is still pending. Meanwhile, director Mukerji is restructuring the schedule around Hrithik’s recovery and has used the downtime since March to finalize post-production and refine upcoming sequences.
Completion and Release Plans
According to a source, the filmmakers are happy about completing ‘War 2’ by May. Roshan’s dance scenes will only resume once he has achieved full fitness.
Hrithik’s Thoughts on the Film
During a recent event in Atlanta, Georgia, Hrithik disclosed that ‘War 2’ is nearing completion, with only one final song, starring Jr NTR, remaining to be shot. Talking about the movie, the actor said, “Bohot dar raha tha main ki part 2 kaisi hogi (I was very afraid about how the sequel would turn out. But I have to say I am extremely proud of this film. Ek gaana bacha hai bas, the film is shot. And that song is with Jr NTR, which I’m going back now to film. I hope I do well. I’m nervous—and he’s amazing. But this film will be bigger and better than part 1. So wish me luck.”

‘War 2’, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 film ‘War’, is scheduled to release in theaters on August 14, 2025.
