How a Hyderabad-based doctor planned to carry out a ‘bio-terror plot’

The doctor and two accomplices had allegedly already surveyed multiple locations across India and planned to use a poison that isn’t easy to detect or treat.

When Hyderabad-based doctor Ahmed Mohiyuddin Saiyed pulled up to a toll plaza in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar on November 9, he had little idea that the police were already aware of a bioweapon-based terror plan he was allegedly leading.
The police said that they had received a specific tip-off about Saiyed’s alleged plan to extract a deadly poison from the innocuous-looking castor seeds. The doctor and two others from Uttar Pradesh now face charges of working with a Pakistan-based handler to poison people at various locations.
