The makers of the upcoming Vijay Deverakonda starrer ‘Rababaali’ unveiled the film’s title, first glimpse, and worldwide release details on Republic Day. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles.Announcing the title with a video, it featured visuals showing the harsh rule of the British in India. It focuses on the suffering of people during a time when some regions were turned into drought areas by British officers like Sir Richard Temple. The scenes show hunger, pain, and fear. The makers also described the events as “a genocide worse than Hitler’s Holocaust and the massive economic exploitation of India.” The film seems to focus on showing stories that were hidden and not spoken about much.

It also shows the film set to release worldwide on September 11.
About the cast of the film
Rashmika Mandanna plays Jayamma, who looks to be a strong character. Arnold Vosloo appears as the villain Sir Theodore Hector. The film is set in the 19th century and is inspired by real events between 1854 and 1878. The makers clearly say, “this is not a biopic, and not a textbook retelling. Ranabaali is a cinematic reconstruction of an era built from multiple real accounts, oral histories, and suppressed records.”
