Chhaava advance box office collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal starrer eyes HISTORIC Rs 25 crore opening

Vicky Kaushal‘s much-anticipated historical epic Chhaava is off to a roaring start at the box office. Ahead of its grand Valentine’s Day release, the film has already raked in over Rs 13 crore in advance bookings, setting it up for a strong opening.
According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, Chhaava has amassed approximately Rs 13.78 crore through pre-booked ticket sales. The film has sold over 4.87 lakh tickets across more than 14,063 shows nationwide. While the net advance booking figure currently stands at Rs 13 crore, the inclusion of blocked seats is expected to push the total to Rs 17.87 crore.
Industry experts predict that Chhaava could open with a staggering Rs 23-25 crore net on its first day, setting it up as one of the biggest debuts in the historical genre. The film’s performance is being driven largely by Maharashtra, where its regional appeal.Trade analysts believe that if positive word of mouth follows the film’s release, Chhaava could emerge as a major success in Maharashtra, potentially extending its box office dominance to other regions as well. However, its nationwide performance remains uncertain, as advance sales in most states—except Delhi—have struggled to cross the Rs 1 crore mark.

A breakdown of advance collections reveals that the Hindi 2D format has contributed the lion’s share, with Rs 13.17 crore in earnings. Meanwhile, the IMAX 2D version has brought in Rs 41.55 lakh, and the ICE and 4DX versions have collectively generated over Rs 18 lakh. Maharashtra alone has accounted for approximately Rs 8.29 crore of the total pre-sales, highlighting the region’s enthusiasm for the film.
Despite its promising start, Chhaava faces stiff competition from Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World, which is also set for a February 14 release. While Chhaava currently leads in advance bookings, it remains to be seen whether it can maintain its momentum throughout the weekend.
