Comedy Khiladigalu fame Chandrashekhar Siddhi dies by suicide at 28

Actor and comedian Chandrashekhar Siddhi, best known for his stint on reality show Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3, died by suicide on Thursday, July 31. He was 28. According to police reports, Chandrashekhar was found hanging in a forest near Kattige village in Yellapur taluk. The young artist, originally from Chimanalli village, had been struggling with severe depression over the past few months.

A Rising Star Cut Short

Chandrashekhar rose to fame in 2020 with Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3, where his comic timing and stage presence earned him a huge fan following. After the show, he made appearances in a few Kannada TV serials, but steady opportunities in the entertainment industry remained elusive. Family sources revealed that the lack of work pushed him into financial strain and emotional distress. Recently, the actor had been working as a daily wage labourer to make ends meet.

Struggles Behind the Spotlight

Trained at the prestigious Ninasam Theatre Institute, Chandrashekhar was deeply passionate about the performing arts. However, despite his training and talent, the entertainment industry’s instability took a toll on him. Close relatives said he had been under mental stress for the past three months. On the day of the incident, his wife, who had accompanied him, was left in shock upon discovering his body.

Chandrashekhar’s tragic death highlights the growing concerns over mental health and the lack of sustainable opportunities for young talents in the Kannada entertainment industry. Police have registered a case and are investigating further.
