Ben Shapiro Attacker: ‘Biden supporters shouldn’t exist’: Ben Shapiro attacker-suspect Cody Balmer’s disturbing past revealed

Cody Balmer, the suspect arrested for setting Pennsylvania Gov Josh Shapiro’s house on fire, has a disturbing social media footprint, including a photo of him pointing a gun at the camera, appearing to breathe fire etc. “Biden supporters shouldn’t exist,” he wrote in a Facebook post in January 2021. “Where were you his first run? Well aware of the trash he is. As for the second, still knew what scum he is. Now why did y’all forget? What, because he did?” he posted on Facebook in January 2021.
“RIP Joe Biden… whoops that’s in May. #notmypresident,” he wrote in another post, while another read, “Knowing is half the battle.. the other half is extreme violence.” He also attacked Donald Trump in his posts.
The 38-year-old attacker was arrested Sunday evening and faces charges of attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson and aggravated assault at Shapiro’s residence. The police have not yet found any motive behind the attack but he told the police that he had planned to beat Shapiro with a hammer if he encountered him.
“Last night at about 2AM, my family and I woke up to bangs on the door from the Pennsylvania State Police after an arsonist set fire to the Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg,” Shapiro posted on X. “The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire was on the scene and while they worked to put out the fire, we were evacuated from the Residence safely by Pennsylvania State Police and assisted by Capitol Police. Thank God no one was injured and the fire was extinguished.”
According to reports, Balmer has several offenes on the books. In 2015, he pleaded guilty to felony charges of forgery and theft, followed by another guilty plea for forgery in 2016, for which he received 18 months of probation. In January 2023, he faced misdemeanor charges of simple assault in Dauphin County, with the case still open.
