Babil Khan drops a hilarious video, talks about Akshay Kumar’s sanitary pad public service announcement, addresses his fake humility rumours | Hindi Movie News

Babil Khan, son of the late actor Irrfan Khan, faced online trolling for his feminist remarks, which some viewed as insincere. In one video, he stated that one doesn’t simply “get” girls, only to repeat the phrase himself. He also drew criticism after repeatedly apologizing to a woman for accidentally blocking her at a red carpet event. While Babil has addressed such backlash before, he recently took part in a satirical video coinciding with the release of his new film ‘Logout’. The video humorously addressed Babil’s public image and is a part of the promotions of his latest project.
Humble Beginnings on Set
In the video, Babil chooses to sit on the floor, humbly refusing to be elevated alongside Biswapati, whom he respectfully calls his senior. When he accidentally collides with a woman on set, he immediately apologizes and insists she deserves the spotlight instead of him. Biswapati points out that Babil is the guest, to which he humorously replies, “You think girls can’t do podcasts? Girls can do anything; they can become pilots, they can become astronauts, they can become criminals.”
A Promise and an Introduction
After finally agreeing to sit down, Babil says goodbye to the woman, promising to write her a letter. Biswapati introduces him as the son of Irrfan Khan, who gave many remarkable performances. Babil shares that he avoids watching Indian films due to their sexism but recalls walking out after seeing Akshay Kumar’s PSA on sanitary pads. He says, “How can someone buy cigarettes with money intended for sanitary pads? I get very offended and leave immediately.”
Reflecting on the ‘Get Girls’ Comment
Babil humorously reflects on his ‘get girls’ remark, clarifying that one can’t simply ‘get’ followers either. “It’s a partnership,” he explains, though he accidentally misuses the word ‘get’ again, just as he did in his original interview before catching himself. He mentions that his favourite recent film is ‘Mrs’, appreciating its feminist themes.
Response to Trolling
Earlier, Babil addressed the trolling he received after these incidents in a social media post, writing, “All I did was introduce myself, ‘Hi, I’m Babil’ and the way you looked at me changed. I know that look, I know that you think that I’m fake, ‘he’s pretentious, tryna act humble when he’s sure that I know of his name’ or something else like, If I’m too sorry when I apologise.”
