Ankit Gupta reveals being single when he entered Bigg Boss; says ‘I was not with anyone’

Actor Ankit Gupta, who rose to further fame with his stint on Bigg Boss 16, recently opened up about his relationship status and the unexpected circumstances that led him into the reality show. During a fun visit to his house by filmmaker Farah Khan—who repeatedly teased him for having a “bachelor pad”—Ankit confirmed his single status. “He is single and ready to mingle,” Farah quipped, adding a dose of humor to the chat.When asked if he was with anyone when he entered Bigg Boss, Ankit clarified, “I was alone. I am very clear. If I am alone, I say I am alone but if I am not alone, I wouldn’t say I am alone.” Farah cheekily added, “Then you got Sajid,” referring to fellow contestant Sajid Khan, with whom Ankit had formed a strong bond on the show. Sajid even surprised Ankit with a visit during the vlog, reinforcing their off-screen camaraderie.Reflecting on how Bigg Boss came into his life, Ankit shared, “I didn’t choose to be on Bigg Boss. I was sent to the show. I was doing Udaariyaan and Sargun (the producer) said they were wrapping it up but had another show for me titled Junooniyatt. That would take 3-4 months to begin. They showed me the contract and I only just knew the name of the show. The makers said they had three options—Khatron Ke Khiladi had already started, Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa was on but not meant for me, and the last option was Bigg Boss. A lot of negotiations happened. Three to four weeks went into just discussions.”Fans also remember Ankit’s close bond with Udaariyaan co-star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. Their chemistry on Bigg Boss 16 was much loved, but they later unfollowed each other on social media. Ankit even backed out of a show that was to feature both of them, hinting that the once-strong connection may have fizzled out.
