But in the early hours of Wednesday, around 12.41 am, the superstar posted a puzzling message on X (formerly Twitter). The tweet simply read:“T 5356 -” With no context or explanation, it left many followers scratching their heads and divided.
Fans were quick to react, asking questions like “what does it mean?” and “what is the context?” One user even wrote in Hindi, “ख़ामोशी बहुत कुछ कहती है अमित जी” (‘Silence speaks volumes, Amit Ji’).
While some tried to make sense of the post, others were disappointed and angry, accusing the actor of ignoring the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam.
Netizens slam Big B for his silence
As the tweet began to gain attention, criticism also followed. Many users felt the tweet was poorly timed and showed a lack of response to the horrifying attack in Kashmir.
One user asked, “Kashmir mein jo hua uspar ek post nahi?” (‘Not even one post about what happened in Kashmir?’)
Another commented, “Sir you are the senior most actor from the film fraternity yet not a word of condemnation from you on the Pahalgam terrorist attack?”

What happened in Pahalgam?
The terror attack took place on Tuesday in Kashmir’s Pahalgam region. As per reports, 24 people lost their lives when gunmen opened fire on tourists. The tragic incident left many injured and fighting for their lives. While Amitabh Bachchan remained silent, several other Bollywood celebrities shared their reactions, prayers for the victims and expressed their grief and urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take swift and strong action.
Celebs react with strong condemnation
Akshay Kumar posted, “Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families.”
Sonu Sood tweeted, “Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Kashmir’s #Pahalgam. Terrorism should not have any place in a civilized world and this dastardly act is unacceptable. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their dear ones and prayers for early recovery of those who are injured. Om Sai ram.”
Raveena Tandon also shared her shock, writing, “Om Shanti. condolences. Shocked and angry. No words to express the anguish. Prayers and strength to the victims. Time we all let go of petty in-house fighting, UNITE and realise the true enemy.”
