All about Super Bowl 2025 halftime show: Timing, performances, and other highlights

The Super Bowl is here. We all are waiting for the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles’ face-off at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Sure, the Super Bowl LIX is all about football, but let’s not lie, we all are equally waiting for the Halftime show as well. Let’s take a look at what to expect from the halftime show this year.
When is the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show?
There is no official start time for the Super Bowl halftime show, however, we can arrive at a rough conclusion.
The game consists of four 15-minute quarters. When calculating the breaks between the plays, pausing for calls, and the time between quarters and commercial breaks, we can assume that the entire Super Bowl could last for about three and a half hours.
So, this means, the halftime has to be 90 minutes into the game. This year, the game kickoffs on Feb. 9 at 6.30 pm ET. So the halftime is likely around 8-8:30 p.m. ET.
Who’s performing at the Super Bowl halftime show?
Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar will perform during the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime show. This will also mark the first time a solo hip-hop artist is performing at the big game. Though this year is Lamar’s first time headlining the halftime show, he has performed earlier during the 2022 Super Bowl alongside greats like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige, among others.
The fans are also wondering if Lamar would perform ‘Not Like Us,’ his biggest song of 2024, which won him five Grammy Awards.
In Sep. 2024, Lamar revealed that SZA would be joining him as a special guest.
They have recently announced their joint Grand National Tour, which is set to begin in April. Their previous collaborations include ‘All The Stars,’ ‘luther’ and ’30 for 30.’
Kendric Lamar hasn’t officially announced additional guests so far, however, fans are expecting many more.

A 22-time Grammy nominee, Jon Batiste recently released Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1), which reimagines Beethoven’s iconic works through a blues lens and debuted as the #1 Classical album.
