The trailer of Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Rakul Preet Singh-starrer De De Pyaar De 2 received love from audiences after it dropped online. During the trailer launch event, Devgn quipped that the film is also a sequel to his and Madhavan’s previous collaboration, Shaitaan.In the film, R. Madhavan plays Rakul Preet Singh’s father, while Ajay Devgn is seen as her boyfriend. During the event, Madhavan said, “You know the enthusiasm that Ajay sir showed on set for all of us. Toh humein khulke perform karne ka mauka mila (So we got the opportunity to perform freely), which is why I was looking forward to it. Yeh mere liye sirf isliye difficult tha kyunki mujhe baap ban ke banna tha (This was difficult for me just because I was playing the role of a father). Apart from that, it’s been a complete privilege.”Ajay Devgn then added, “Aur ek hisaab se yeh ‘Shaitaan’ ka bhi sequel hai. Usme yeh meri beti le jata hai; isme main iski beti le jata hu (In a way, the film is a sequel to ‘Shaitaan’; in that film he takes away my daughter, and in this one I take away his daughter).”
