Abhinav Shukla reacts to software engineer’s death; demands resignations of rescue teams for not being able to save Yuvraj Mehra |
Abhinav Shukla is known for speaking his mind and raising his voice on important issues. The actor has demanded the resignation of NDRF and government authorities after they failed to save software engineer Yuvraj Mehra, whose car fell into a water-filled pit in Greater Noida. Abhinav criticised the departments for not doing their job properly.Abhinav shared a video on X, in which he said, “In the tragic case of Yuvraj Mehra, a young boy’s car plunged into the water-filled pit after colliding with a construction site wall. Following the accident, he immediately alerted the fire department, the police, and the NDRF. While all these agencies arrived at the scene with cranes and ropes, not a single professional rescuer entered the water to save him. For two hours, the boy stood atop his submerged car, shouting for help and struggling to survive.“
He added, “It is shocking that these departments, whose only job is to rescue and protect, stood there watching and doing nothing. In a shocking turn of events, it was a Flipkart delivery person who showed true bravery, tying himself to a rope and entering the water to reach the boy. However, after two hours of all this, ultimately, nobody was able to rescue the kid and the rescue operation failed.”He further said, “I think all the departments should resign immediately and ASAP. All the people who went on the site and were unable to save him should resign immediately. The government should look into why taxpayer money is going to departments that fail to carry out basic rescue work. It’s such a shame and totally disgusting. Authorities must improve their recruitment and training so that rescue teams are capable and brave enough to save lives. If these departments cannot do their job during emergencies, then their role and existence need to be questioned.”He captioned the video and wrote, “Shame NDRF , Shame Fire Dept , Shame on authorities , you couldn’t save a young kid ! I wonder why your departments even exist if you could not do a basic job for which you train your entire life with taxpayers money ! Bravo that Flip-cart Delivery guy who tried ! @PMOIndia !…(sic).”
