Actor Abbas was a standout in Tamil cinema in the 1990s as the chocolate hero. He made his debut in the film industry in 1996 with the film ‘Kadhal Desam’ directed by Kathir. He later played the hero and lead roles in successful films including ‘V.I.P.‘, ‘Poochudava’, ‘Padaiyaappa’, and ‘Suyamvaram’. The last film he acted in in Tamil was ‘Ramanujan’, released in 2014. After that, due to the lack of new opportunities, he moved to New Zealand and started working in a field other than cinema.
