John Cena’s ‘Superman ’ cameo might be the build-up of his Peacemaker reprise
Cena has been one of those rare gems who successfully made it through the transition from DCEU to DCU. His character dropped in on Superman in a cameo role just when you least expected it. Cena didn’t delve into any action. He played a talking head on a news show ranting about Superman right after a breathtaking plot twist in the drama. As per the reports, Cena did justice to his quintessential anti-hero image, trash-talking Superman. Even though he got a negligible screen time, you can see him this time. Yes, Cena’s surprise invasion leaves a mark on the audience beyond the main narrative. Well, it may not directly culminate into a plot Cena will play in Peacemaker 2, which starts from August 2025; it might be just Gunn’s way to let the crowd know that DCU is Peacemaker’s new home.So what’s more to the plate? A crossover? Well, not very far-fetched. Remember when director Gunn dropped a hint saying, We see a lot of different characters from Superman in the [season], [including] Isabela and Nathan and Sean, and then we see a bunch of other characters later on in the season from other parts of the DCU and Superman. There might even be one, really, really big cameo near the end of the show.”Yes, you have all the reasons to take it with a grain of salt. It’s not a guarantee that David Corenswet’s Superman will run into the Peacemaker in the forthcoming series. It might sound fascinating, but again, it’s not a crack shot. Or is it? The jury is still out. Let August reveal the rest.
