Woman mowed by speeding truck in Garhwa, dies | Ranchi News
Garhwa: A 20-year-old woman was mowed down by a speeding truck at Ganesh More on NH-39 under Ramuna police station limits here on Monday. The deceased, identified as Sangita Kumar, was crossing the road on foot when she was fatally hit. The driver fled the scene after the incident, but his assistant was taken into police custody. Locals blocked the NH-39 for two hours demanding compensation for the relatives of the deceased along with locals blocked NH-39 for two hours. The blockade was lifted after the assurance of compensation given by the Banshidhar Nagar subdivisional officer Prabhakar Mirdha and other senior officials.
