Wipro to realign its four global business lines starting April 1; here are the Big changes

Wipro, India’s fourth largest IT company, has announced restructuring of its four Global Business Lines (GBLs) to better address client needs. Wipro announced the same in a BSE filing last week. The GBLs come under four heads — Technology Services, Business Process Services, Consulting Services and Engineering. “Clients are increasingly seeking integrated, outcome-driven solutions that enhance agility and innovation. To better meet these needs, Wipro will realign its Global Business Lines,” Wipro informed in a regulatory filing. These changes will come into effect starting April 1, 2025, the filing added.
This is the company’s first rejig after CEO Srinivas Pallia took over the role in April 2024. The changes come in after two years of the previous realignment made under its former CEO Theirry Delaporte, who resigned in April last year. “This evolution of our business lines will enable us to further sharpen our focus towards client needs with consulting-led and AI-powered solutions,” said Srini Pallia, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Wipro Limited. This realignment will allow us to serve our clients better, enabling us to deliver tailored, high-impact transformation,” he added.
Wipro will continue to operate with four GBLs, organised around client buying behavior:
• Wipro Technology Services: Led by Nagendra Bandaru, this GBL will deliver cloud-enabled and industry-specific technology solutions. It will focus on Digital and Industry Cloud, Cyber Security and Risk Services, Cloud and Infrastructure Services, Data, Analytics and AI, Enterprise Applications, and Designit.
• Wipro Consulting Services: Led by Amit Kumar, this GBL will provide strategic advisory and transformation services.
• Wipro Engineering Edge: Wipro Engineering Edge, which was launched in 2022, will be Engineering and will continue to be led by Srikumar Rao to provide engineering and research & development (R&D) services.
• Wipro Business Process Services: Apart from the existing engineering business line, the company also announced a fourth newly created line called Business Process Services, with Jasjit Kang as its head. This GBL will focus on digital operations and business process transformation.
There is no change to Capco. Anne-Marie Rowland will continue to lead it. The company also announced that Jo Debecker, who led Wipro FullStride Cloud, has decided to pursue opportunities outside Wipro.
