“We’re going in another direction”: Aaron Rodgers opens up about Jets exit and fans are divided over who’s telling the truth

Aaron Rodgers, the NFL veteran, has had fans and experts debating over his future in the league. With the NFL Draft being just a few weeks away, Aaron Rodgers has remained a free agent after parting with the New York Jets back in February. The NFL veteran recently appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and spoke about his final meeting with his former team, the New York Jets.
Aaron Rodgers talks about meeting with the New York Jets but his story has divided fans
The NFL veteran, Aaron Rodgers, says, “Listen, that was an interesting two years to say the least. I figured that when I flew across country to my dime, there would be a conversation,”
He added, “The confusing thing to me is I went out there, I meet with the coach, we start talking … he runs out of the room. I’m like that’s strange. Then he comes back with the GM, and I’m like all right.”
Aaron Rodgers continued, “So we sit down and I think we’re going to have this long conversation, and 20 seconds in and (Aaron Glenn) goes: ‘You sure you wanna play football?’ And, I said ‘Yes,’ and he said, ‘We’re going in another direction.'”
But Aaron Rodgers’ story about meeting his former team, the New York Jets, has divided fans. Some fans have shown him support, while others are trolling him.
A fan commented, “Can’t wait to hear what Glenn says, my goodness. If the story is true, why would you treat Aaron that way knowing it would get out? It had to be intentional or maybe Glenn is just a hot head. Either way, fun stuff.”
Another fan wrote, “Doesn’t matter how great a player is…in the NFL it’s generally a cold, cruel world towards the end of their career.”
A third fan commented, “Chances are the Jets will still be the Jets this season; they should’ve kept Rodgers put a respectable O-line around him & still acquire Fields. They’re also delusional if they think they’re gonna get the best out of Justin with mediocre protection 😒”

But other fans have blamed the NFL veteran; a fan took to X and posted, “Few things I can say, but main thing is hes pissed because they didn’t bend over backwards for him. New regime didn’t owe him anything.”
Another fan wrote, “I think it’s great to see someone basically tell Rodgers to kick rocks in the most disrespectful way possible. Guy has been holding teams hostage the last couple years. He deserved this”, while a third fan posted, “You can get back at them by balling out, moping isn’t gonna help”.
While Aaron Rodgers has shared his side of the story, he has still not cleared the confusion about which team he would be willing to join for the upcoming season of the NFL.
