VinFast’s charging arm, V-GREEN, has entered into a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to expand electric vehicle charging facilities at select fuel stations across India. As part of this collaboration, V-GREEN will utilise HPCL’s extensive network of fuel outlets to roll out EV charging points, aiming to make electric mobility more convenient and accessible for users while supporting the country’s broader push toward cleaner transportation.

With a presence spanning more than 24,400 retail fuel stations across India, HPCL already operates over 5,300 EV charging points under its HP e-Charge initiative. This existing infrastructure offers a ready-made platform for faster deployment of charging facilities and enables wider geographic coverage with minimal lead time. The partnership comes at a crucial moment as India steps up efforts to transition away from conventional fuels. HPCL’s nationwide footprint is expected to play a key role in accelerating the rollout of charging infrastructure, helping address range anxiety and encouraging greater adoption of electric vehicles. V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development Company, headquartered in Vietnam, was established by VinFast founder Pham Nhat Vuong with a focus on building large-scale charging networks to support VinFast’s international growth. The company has already demonstrated its capabilities in Vietnam, where it manages nearly 150,000 charging ports and continues to grow its network through collaborations with multiple partners. India is viewed as a priority market in V-GREEN’s global expansion strategy.This tie-up with HPCL marks another step in V-GREEN and VinFast’s broader plan to create a full-fledged EV ecosystem in India, covering vehicle manufacturing, charging infrastructure, after-sales support, and battery recycling. The initiative is expected to contribute meaningfully to the adoption of electric mobility and the development of sustainable transport solutions in one of the world’s largest automotive markets.
