Vehicle drop-off zone at Bokaro rly station soon, says SER GM

Bokaro: Anil Kumar Mishra, general manager of South Eastern Railways (SER), on Friday inspected the ongoing infrastructure works at Bokaro railway station under the Amrit Bharat scheme. Addressing the concerns of a section of passengers, Mishra assured that a dedicated drop-off zone will soon come up on the station premises.Mishra inspected the out yard, empty yard, goods shed, electric shed, and loco sheds, and issued several directions to railway officials. He also inspected Bhojudih railway station. Mishra was accomplanied by senior officials of Adra railway division.“Bokaro is an important passenger and freight hub. Under the Amrit Bharat Scheme, facilities such as a new foot overbridge, escalators, retiring rooms, and a modern station façade are being developed. A new pair of railway lines is being laid between the north cabin and Bokaro railway station. The new lines will make two additional platforms operational,” he said.Mishra however said there was no proposal at present to introduce new trains from Bokaro due to space constraints. Expressing surprise that Bokaro railway station did not have a dedicate vehicle drop-off zone, Mishra said the facility will come up soon.Mishra said a new foot over bridge, escalators, retiring rooms and a modern facade are coming up at Bokaro railway station
