Two held for abducting aspiring short film director in Tamil Nadu

CUDDALORE: Two people have been arrested on charges of kidnapping an aspiring short film director at Kattumannarkoil in Cuddalore district.
The arrested have been identified as A Jagadeesan and D Chandra Babu, 38, of Chidambaram.
Police have launched attempts to nab two more people involved in the crime.
Police said Prasad Patel, who works in a private firm in South Africa, gave Rs 2.8 lakh to aspiring director Karthikeyan to make a short film.
Karthikeyan did not make any progress and submit accounts on the expenses to Patel leading to a wordy duel between the two over the mobile phone. Police said Patel engaged a gang of four to abduct Karthikeyan to recover the amount from him.
