Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board approves annual budget estimates for Rs 5,258 crore, Hundi revenues projected to reach Rs 1,729 crore

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board headed by chairman BR Naidu approved the annual budget estimates for the financial year 2025-26 for Rs 5258 crore. This is slightly higher by Rs.79 cr when compared to the revised approved budget estimates of Rs 5179 crore for the financial year 2024-2025.
Like every year, the Tirupati trust expects the maximum revenues from the Hundi receipts which are estimates to grow to Rs 1,729 crore this financial year from Rs 1,671 crore last year.
The Tirupati trust estimates an interest receipt of Rs 1310 cr from close to Rs 18000 cr plus fixed deposits lying with the banks.
While the Tirupati trust earned Rs.550 cr through sale of prasadams last year, the temple trust expects to earn Rs.600 cr from prasadams sale this year.
Other major receipts include sale of Darshan tickets: Rs.310 cr, sale of Arjitha Seva tickets: Rs.130 cr, Accommodation and Kalyana Mandapam receipts: Rs.157 cr, Kalyanakatta receipts: 176.5 cr, trust receipts: Rs.90 cr, rent, electrical and water charges receipts: Rs.66 cr, publication receipts: Rs.31 cr and other receipts: Rs.170 cr.
On the expenditure front, the Tirupati trust will be shelling out a whopping sum of Rs.1773.75 cr towards Human Resources payments this year. And like every year, the salary outgo of the TTD is higher by Rs 44.75 crore than the entire Hundi receipts which is pegged at Rs.1729 cr this year.
TTD has earmarked a sum of Rs 800 crore towards Corpus and other investments. The temple trust will be shelling out Rs 768.5 crore towards material purchases. Engineering capital works has planned to allocate Rs 350 crore and engineering maintenance works will be allocated Rs.150 cr.
The Tirupati trust has earmarked Rs.60 cr each for SVIMS engineering capital works and for SVIMS revenue grants. TTD had also earmarked Rs.130 cr as grants for other institutions.
For spearheading the propagation of the Hindu Sanathana Dharma in a big way, TTD has earmarked a sum of Rs 121 crore for HDPP and other projects. TTD will be allocating a sum of Rs 117.62 crore towards loans and advances.
Other expenditure heads include: Facility management services: Rs.80 cr, pension and gratuity fund contribution: Rs 100 crore, Contributions to state govt: Rs 50 crore etc.
