‘Tiger abhi zinda hai’: Supporters rally behind Lalu Prasad after ED questioning | Patna News

NEW DELHI: Posters expressing support for Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad have been put up outside his house in Patna following his questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the alleged land-for-jobs scam.
The posters feature a bold message reading, “Na jhuka hun, na jhukunga, Tiger abhi zinda hai”
The display of solidarity comes after Lalu, along with his family members, was questioned by the ED on Wednesday regarding the ongoing investigation into the alleged scam.
Lalu and his relatives are accused of using their political influence to secure jobs in the railways in exchange for land, with the ED’s probe into the matter continuing.
Rabri Devi and Tej Pratap Yadav also questioned
Prior to Lalu’s questioning, his wife, Rabri Devi, and son, Tej Pratap Yadav, were also interrogated by the ED on Tuesday. The investigation centers on allegations that the family misused their positions to facilitate illegal exchanges between railway jobs and land.
Tejashwi cries political vendetta
Amid these legal proceedings, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu’s younger son and the former deputy chief minister, strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Yadav accused the ruling party of using government agencies as tools for “political vendetta,” stating that the ongoing cases would only serve to strengthen the RJD’s position.
“The more they misuse constitutional institutions, the stronger we will get. We will form the government in Bihar with the same strength. All teams of the BJP and their IT Cell will now focus solely on Bihar,” Yadav said, emphasizing that the cases would not weaken their resolve.
BJP slams Lalu’s family
In response, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh attacked Lalu, accusing him of corruption and claiming that Bihar does not want a chief minister from a “corrupt family.” Singh further asserted that Bihar residents prefer Nitish Kumar, the current chief minister of the state, as their leader.
“Bihar does not want a chief minister from a corrupt family. Bihar wants Nitish Kumar as the chief minister,” Singh said, suggesting that Kumar is a more trustworthy and capable leader. Nitish Kumar currently leads the state in an alliance with the BJP.
