Strong 5.8 earthquake in Afghanistan sends tremors across J&K, Delhi-NCR

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 on the Richter scale struck Afghanistan on Saturday at 12:17 pm (IST), according to the National Center for Seismology.
The tremors were felt in several regions, including parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi-NCR.
A local in Srinagar was quoted as saying, “I felt the tremor. I was in the office when my chair shook.”
While there have been no immediate reports of significant damage or casualties, authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
