Six jump off 2nd floor of residential building to escape fire in Delhi | Delhi News
NEW DELHI: At least six people sustained injuries after jumping from the second floor of a house in Nangloi’s Janata Market area to escape a fire, an official of the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said on Wednesday.
The fire broke out at 9.45pm on February 17, engulfing domestic items on the first and second floors of a building in Y-655, Mobile Market, Janata Market, under the Jwala Puri jurisdiction.
Three fire tenders were rushed to the scene, and firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control by 11 pm. However, before their arrival, six residents trapped on the second floor had no option but to jump to safety.
The injured have been identified as Pranjal (19), Preeti (40), Pankaj (40), Panav (18), Vaibhav (13), and Sweta (20). They were rushed to Pushpanjali Hospital for treatment.
