Salman Khan gets Delhi HC notice: Chinese AI app files plea over order on personality rights

NEW DELHI: The Delhi high court has issued notice to Bollywood actor Salman Khan on an application filed by a China-based artificial intelligence voice generation platform seeking vacation of an interim injunction that granted personality rights to the actor as reported by Bar and Bench.During the hearing, counsel for the China-based platform submitted that it is primarily engaged in developing AI-generated voice models and sought cancellation of the December 11 injunction, arguing that the restraint affects its legitimate business activities. The court has issued notice on the application and directed Salman Khan to file his response within four weeks. The next hearing in the matter has been scheduled for February 27. On December 11, 2025, the high court had granted personality rights to Salman Khan, restraining websites, mobile applications and online sellers from unauthorised use of his name, image, voice and from selling merchandise associated with him without consent.
