Revanth Reddy-led ‘TelanganaRising’ delegation inks deals worth Rs 2.44 lakh crore in global tours

Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy returned to the city on Wednesday night to a warm reception by party cadres, after capping off a seven-day tour to Japan during which he and his delegation secured investments for the state totalling Rs 12,062 crore from various Japanese firms.
With this, the CM-led delegation has been able to secure over Rs 2.44 lakh crore in investments for the state from its tours to Davos, South Korea, Singapore and Japan.
In total, the investments will help in the creation of 80,500 jobs in the state. The CM, who completed his seven-day investment-seeking tour of Japan, returned to the city on Wednesday night.
“The TelanganaRising delegation led by CM Revanth has once again shown the world the investment opportunities and industrial-friendly environment in Telangana. Several investment agreements have been signed by the Telangana govt with various top-notch firms and companies in the world since the Congress govt came into office in December 2023. It has opened a new chapter in international relations and mutual cooperation,” the CMO said.
While the Japanese investments are expected to create 30,500 jobs in the state, the record Rs 1.79 lakh crore investments secured by the CM-led delegation at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January are expected to create 50,000 jobs.
In January, the TelanganaRising delegation visited the US, South Korea, and Singapore and signed investment deals worth Rs 14,900 crore. During their trip to Davos in 2024, deals worth Rs 40,000 crore were signed.
The Revanth-led delegation signed 20 MoUs for investments and expansions worth nearly Rs 1.79 lakh crore on the sidelines of the WEF summit at Davos in January 2025, Switzerland, with the majority of them for setting up data centres, followed by pumped storage facilities in the state.
The biggest individual investments include Rs 60,000 crore by Amazon AWS for setting up a data centre, Rs 45,500 crore by Sun Petrochemicals, Rs 15,000 crore by Tillman Global Holdings, and Rs 15,000 crore by Megha Engineering. Software major Infosys unveiled plans for expanding its operations in Hyderabad by adding 17,000 jobs to its workforce, with HCL and Wipro also announcing that they would add 5,000 jobs each at their units in Hyderabad.
