Ranchi Police Arrest Three Drug Peddlers with 28.59 gm of Brown Sugar | Ranchi News
Ranchi: Acting on a tip-off, a police team on Friday night nabbed three drug peddlers with 28.59 gm of brown sugar in an operation conducted near Pahari Mandir under Sukhdevnagar police station limits, cops said on Saturday. It added that the drug, which was brought from Bihar would have been sold at higher prices in different parts of Ranchi city.City superintendent of police (SP) Paras Rana said the arrested persons are Shiva Ram, Amar Kumar Yadav and Suraj Kumar Sharma, all residents of different areas under Sukhdevnagar police station. He said, “Amar is also a murder accused and is registered under Pocso with Sukhdvenagar and Kotwali police stations respectively.”The SP stated that during interrogation the accused persons said that they used to purchase the drug from one Baban Shah alias Mausa Ji in Sasaram.He further stated that a case has been registered against them under relevant sections of NDPS Act and further action is being taken in the case.
