Kota (Rajasthan) February 19 – Remembering Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for his exemplary valour, adept war strategy, and resolute determination, Lok Sabha Speaker and Kota-Bundi MP Om Birla paid homage to the Marathi legend on his birth anniversary with a floral offering at his colossal equestrian statue in Chhatrapati Shivaji Garden in Kota on Wednesday morning.

Despite possessing a modest army and limited weaponry compared to the Mughal Army, Chhatrapati Shivaji exhibited extraordinary gallantry and self-confidence against the enemy – the Mughals, who lacked conviction, self-respect, and tactical prowess, Birla remarked whilst paying tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji and recalling his heroic deeds.
Unwavering self-confidence, self-respect, and astute strategies invariably ensure triumph in one’s life, Birla stated whilst highlighting that self-respect and self-confidence require proper direction and resolve in life, as demonstrated by Chhatrapati Shivaji.
The luminaries like Shivaji, Maharana Pratap, and even Lord Ram formed their armies with common citizens and tribals and fought against injustice, evil, and arrogance, emerging victorious because their principles remained virtuous and equitable, Birla observed.
‘Truth may endure hardship temporarily but remains undefeated,’ Birla noted. History abounds with instances where oppressed, underprivileged, and exploited people challenged rulers and fought with solidarity and conviction, inevitably achieving victory, Birla elaborated.
