Ola continues hiring for its Krutrim AI Labs: Jobs across US, Singapore and Bengaluru

Ola’s AI arm, Krutrim, is intensifying its hiring efforts for its AI labs located in the United States, Singapore, and Bengaluru, despite experiencing a series of high-profile exits over the past year. According to a report by Economic Times, the company is actively recruiting for roles such as GenAI research engineer, research scientist for speech and audio recognition, and AI cloud platform engineer, with some positions already closed after being posted on LinkedIn last month.
Krutrim recently appointed Sunit S as Senior Vice President of Product, signaling its commitment to strengthening its leadership team. However, the company has also seen significant departures, including Ashish Kumar, former Applied AI Director, and Priyanka Nayak, Senior Engineering Manager, both of whom left earlier this year. Kumar has since joined Tata Group as Head of Platforms for AI and Data, while Nayak, a decade-long Ola veteran, exited in January.
Despite these challenges, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal remains optimistic about Krutrim’s future. The company has announced plans to invest Rs 2,000 crore in its AI initiatives, with a commitment to increase this to Rs 10,000 crore by next year. Aggarwal also revealed that Krutrim is making its AI models, including Krutrim 2 LLM, vision language model Chitrarth 1, and speech language model Dhwani, accessible to the open-source community.
