No leave for Patna district officials from October 18-28: DM | Patna News

Patna: In view of Diwali and Chhath, the district administration has ordered its officials, including those at the subdivision- and block-level, not to take leaves from Oct 18 to 28, Patna district magistrate Thiyagarajan S M announced on Thursday.Those requiring leave under special circumstances can submit an application to the DM’s office.For the maintenance of law and order, the administration has deployed magistrates and police officers at 24 locations in Patna Sadar subdivision, 96 locations in Patna City and 74 locations in Danapur.As many as 30 magistrates have been kept in reserve at District Control Room, while 18 magistrates have been deployed in three shifts at idol immersion sites.MThe DM ordered residents to play loudspeakers from 6am to 10pm in accordance with the prescribed decibel levels. The use of DJ will be completely banned. Loudspeakers will not be played and mics will not be installed within 100m radius of schools, courts and hospitals. Obscene or provocative cassettes cannot be played at places of worship, according to the order.He directed officials to activate raiding teams to stop the sale of illegal firecrackers, and ensure action is taken against the culprits under the relevant sections. All subdivisional officers and SDPOs have been asked to ensure strict compliance with the orders of the court and Bihar State Pollution Control Board.
