Mobile shop at Taleigao gutted in fire | Goa News
Panaji: Fire and emergency personnel averted a major tragedy after they put out a fire that completely gutted a mobile recharge and electrical shop in Taleigao. All the electrical and electronics in the shop, including a photocopy machine, computers, and cameras, were lost in the fire. The loss is estimated to be Rs 12-15 lakh.Fire personnel said they received a call at 11pm on Monday and managed to extinguish the fire only past midnight. They estimate the fire may have started 15 minutes before they received a call.They prevented the fire from spreading to the restaurant next door. The fire personnel immediately removed the cylinders from the restaurant and moved them away from the fire.
