What opinion did MLB insider give on Paul Skenes’ trade rumor
Ken Rosenthal, from The Athletic, stated that Paul Skenes might not move out from the Pittsburgh Pirates before August 1, 2025.As per Rosenthal, if Skenes is traded, the contenders would need an equally talented player for the trade, and no one will be willing to do that. Besides, it is due to Skenes’ efforts, that the team has managed to sustain this season. His 2.44 ERA is one of the reasons that the Pirates have not totally been out of the game. Moreover, Skenes has already signed a one-year pre-arbitration deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates, which amounts to $875,000. Rosenthal further went on to say that Skenes is a depreciating talent if the Pirates decide to keep him on the team. His best bet is that Skenes might still remain a Pirate on August 1, which is post MLB trade deadline (which is July 31).
Will Paul Skenes remain with the Pittsburgh Pirates
