Mini-marathon held for road safety awareness | Patna News
Buxar: A mini-marathon was organised in Buxar on Friday as a part of road safety awareness programme under the national road safety month 2026—an initiative of the District Transport Office (DTO).The marathon was flagged off from the Quila Ground by district magistrate Sahila and it concluded at the DRCC building.The runners passed through Vishwamitra Marg, Charitravan Chowk and ITI Hanuman temple before reaching the DRCC building. During the run, awareness messages on road safety were spread among the public through slogans, posters and banners. The main objective of the marathon was to educate people about the importance of road safety. Special emphasis was laid on the mandatory use of helmets and seat belts, following speed limits and observing traffic rules.Addressing the gathering, the DM said such programmes are being organised throughout road safety week to sensitise people. She said the participation of district officials and local runners sent a strong message. She appealed to the citizens to strictly follow traffic rules and spread awareness within their families and society.
