Mapusa youth held in drug raid | Goa News
Panaji: The anti-narcotic cell (ANC) of the Goa police on Sunday conducted a narcotic raid and arrested Mapusa resident Rishikesh Rao (23) for alleged illegal possession of narcotic substances worth over Rs 1 lakh.ANC SP Sunita Sawant said that PSI Dindayal Redkar, along with two panch witnesses, raided an open space behind St. Michael’s School, near the BSNL mobile tower, Anjuna.“During the raid, the accused was found in illegal possession of narcotic drugs, namely 4g of suspected Ecstasy powder, approximately worth Rs 40,000, and 15g of suspected hydroponic weed (ganja), worth Rs 75,000,” said Sawant.The confiscated drugs were attached under a panchnama along with other articles. Sawant said that the ANC registered an FIR against Rao.
