Man stabbed to death, another injured in Vaishali road rage incident | Patna News
Patna: A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death and another seriously injured in a road rage incident in Vaishali district late Wednesday night. The attack occurred near Digghi Marmala Chaur under Sadar police station area.The deceased was identified as Chandrashekhar Kumar, a resident of Baddiha village in Patepur. He succumbed to stab injuries at PMCH. The injured has been identified as Baijnath Rai (22). Chandrashekhar was driving the car, Baijnath was in the front seat, and Manish Kumar, the car owner, was sitting in the back seat.According to police, the violence erupted after their car brushed against a black SUV, triggering a heated argument. The SUV occupants allegedly attacked them with knives, broke the car’s window, and stabbed Chandrashekhar in the stomach. The attackers fled with the car after the assault.Manish told police that they were returning from a feast at a friend’s house in Hajipur when the incident occurred. “After Chandrashekhar was stabbed, he fell unconscious. I somehow picked him up and ran to save my life,” he said.Police reached the spot on a 112 alert and rushed the injured to Hajipur sadar hospital. Both were later referred to PMCH, where Chandrashekhar died during treatment.Chandrashekhar, the youngest of four brothers, lost his father three years ago. He was unmarried and earned his livelihood through construction work.Sadar SHO Ranveer Kumar Jha said, “An FIR has been registered based on statements of the injured. CCTV footage is being scanned to trace the vehicles, and efforts are on to nab the attackers.”
