Jamshedpur: Multiple police teams have launched searches for Kairav Gandhi, a 22-year-old son of industrialist Devan Chandra Gandhi, whose mysterious disappearance has left the administration perplexed.Kerav has been missing since Tuesday. His car was recovered from a bushy ground anchoring National Highway (NH-33) at Kanderbera in Chandil police station limits in adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan late on Tuesday following which a hunt was launched by the police to recover the missing youth.Kairav lives with his parents at his Circuit House area in Bistupur police station limits in Jamshedpur.He left the house in the afternoon for work at a bank in Bistupur, but till late evening did not return. His parents then approached the Bistupur police with a missing complaint.The last location of Kairav’s phone was located in Sonari, in the initial investigation of the police.The cops are now investigating the call details of Kairav to find out who were the people with whom he was in contact with in the last three months.With probe being done on the kidnapping angle, the police suspect thorough recce was done by the criminals before the kidnapping the industrialist’s son.The police have called forensic experts for detailed examination of the fingerprints on the recovered car besides footage of the CCTVs of all the motorable roads and plaza tolls that lead to Kanderbera are being extensively screened.SP (City) Kumar Shivashish has told media that multiple teams are on the job and all angles suspected to be linked to the disappearance of the youth are being examined.People known to Kairav said that he is a down-to-earth, soft-spoken and calm person who returned to his home town in the mid of 2025 after completing his MBA from Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai and joined the family business.He was recently appointed director of the Empire Auto Pvt Ltd company, one of the companies owned by his father, who is also the vice president of Adityapur Small Industries Association (ASIA).
