KL Rahul, opening the innings, stood tall in testing conditions to score 532 runs at an average of 53.20. His effort included hours of battling the new ball, facing over 1000 deliveries across the five Tests.
On Day 3 of the final Test at The Oval, Ravindra Jadeja became the third to join the 500-run club. Batting in the last session before getting dismissed for 53, he took his tally to 516 runs at a staggering average of 86.00 for the series.
