Hyderabad horror: Wife, daughter kill man with help of girl’s lover; watch movie in theatre before dumping body in Edulabad Lake | Hyderabad News
HYDERABAD: A security guard was allegedly murdered by his wife and daughter, with the help of the girl’s lover, at their house in Musheerabad on July 6. All three were caught based on CCTV footage after the body was found in the Edulabad lake. Police said the three accused – Vadluri Sharadha (40), Manisha (25) and Mohammed Javeed Hussain (24) – killed 45-year-old Lingam around noon and later travelled to a theatre in Malkajgiri to watch a recently released Telugu movie.The returned during the early hours of July 7 to dispose of the body.According to cops, Lingam and Sharadha, who worked as a GHMC sweeper, had frequent arguments over his objection to their daughter’s affair with Hussain, a Rapido driver. Their daughter, Manisha, had separated from her husband, police said.“The domestic discord escalated into a conspiracy to eliminate him,” said Ghatkesar inspector, P Parashuram.On the afternoon of July 6, Sharadha laced Lingam’s toddy with sleeping pills provided by Hussain. Subsequently, Hussain reached Lingam’s home and, with the help of the two women, smothered him with a pillow and then strangled him with a rope.After committing the murder, the trio went to watch a movie. Once they came back, they transported the body in a cab to Edulabad Lake after convincing the driver that the victim was unconscious as he was heavily drunk. They dumped the body in the lake, but it was spotted by locals who alerted Ghatkesar police.Police verified CCTV footage and, with the help of the cab driver, zeroed in on the accused. The three have been remanded to judicial custody.
