HP is refreshing its entire PC lineup with AI, launches enhanced software solutions at Amplify 2025 conference

HP has announced an extensive lineup of AI-powered computers and services at its HP Amplify 2025 Conference. The comprehensive portfolio includes new EliteBook and EliteDesk business systems, OmniBook consumer devices and significant enhancements to the company’s Workforce Experience Platform. The company has also launched gaming PCs.
HP says that it has designed its devices to leverage the latest technological advancements with select models qualifying as Copilot+ PCs, incorporating AI capabilities.
“We thought AI was going to be a transformational technology…that it was going to have as much impact as the internet had at the beginning of the century. Twelve months later, we can only confirm that the opportunities that we see have been driven by AI continue to grow and continue to be more impactful,” HP CEO Enrique Lores said.

HP refreshes its consumer-business PCs with AI

The HP EliteBook 8 Series has undergone a redesign focused on mainstream enterprise users with systems delivering AI-powered productivity tools in a repairable and upgradeable package, addressing both performance and sustainability concerns.
HP says that these PCs offer Neural Processing Unit (NPU) options up to 50 TOPS, claiming the EliteBook 8 Series has achieved up to 224% better power efficiency and up to 43 times faster AI image generation compared to previous non-NPU models.
For desktop environments, the HP EliteDesk 8 Series introduces AI capabilities with security features. According to the company, this portfolio stands as the world’s first business desktop PC lineup with protection against quantum computer hacks, combining high performance with lower power consumption to reduce operational costs.
Coming to the AiO, the HP EliteStudio 8 AiO G1i is aimed at mobile office workers and the system comes with integrated KVM capability through HP Device Switch. It is an industry-first feature that allows users to switch between desktop and laptop workstations via a single cable connection.

HP expands consumer portfolio for content creators

HP’s consumer portfolio expands with the OmniBook X Series, designed for creative professionals. The series includes a 14-inch convertible device for ideation and drawing, alongside a powerful 17.3-inch clamshell model for creative projects.
The OmniBook 7 Series targets power users for academic or professional environments, while the OmniBook 5 Series offers versatile designs for families and students focused on streaming, light gaming, and personal productivity.
Devices across the consumer notebook portfolio feature either Intel Ultra or AMD Ryzen processors in various configurations.

HP refreshes its gaming portfolio with slim laptops, AI optimisation and enhanced audio

HP has unveiled a refreshed gaming portfolio under its OMEN and HyperX brands, focusing on portability, performance optimisation and immersive audio experiences.
HP has introduced two new gaming laptops designed for on-the-go performance. The first is HP OMEN 16 Slim gaming laptop that aims to prioritise portability without compromising performance. It boasts up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU for delivering high-fidelity graphics and processing power.
The second offering is HP OMEN Transcend 14 gaming laptop which is nothing but a refreshed model offering the same powerful CPU and GPU capabilities as the OMEN 16 Slim, but with a focus on maximising power efficiency for mobile gamers and creators, providing a reported 25% increase in power.
Other than gaming PCs, HP is also bringing an AI-powered optimisation to its machines.
HP has integrated OMEN AI into its OMEN Gaming Hub, designed to eliminate the need for manual adjustments, ensuring optimal performance for each user and game. OMEN AI will be available on all HP gaming and consumer PCs.
Lastly, there is HyperX audio enhancement with HyperX Cloud III S wireless gaming headset that is claimed to deliver up to 120 hours of battery life in 2.4GHz mode and up to 200 hours in Bluetooth mode. HP says that HyperX-tuned acoustics provide crystal-clear audio, and the headset features a durable, flexible design with customisable earcup plates and boom/boomless mic options.

HP announces advanced AI software experiences

As mentioned, those HP consumer and commercial devices that qualify as AI PCs will now come equipped with exclusive AI software, including:
HP AI Companion that functions as an advanced on-device AI research assistant, delivering instant answers and secured file analysis even without internet connectivity. HP also announced new features planned for Spring and they include intuitive voice and text commands and built-in keylogger protections, enhancing productivity while maintaining data security.
Then there is HP Go that provides global connectivity for mobile professionals with automatic network switching regardless of carrier. This service will debut on the HP EliteBook 6 G1q powered by Snapdragon X Series, making it the world’s first AI PC with zero-touch multi-carrier 5G deployment.
Poly Camera Pro now includes enhanced AI-powered features such as Magic Background, streaming integrations, and presenter overlays. Multi-camera support, customisable aesthetics, and auto-framing capabilities transform any workspace into a professional studio experience.

HP unveils workforce experience platform enhancements

HP has also enhanced its Workforce Experience Platform (WXP) with new AI-powered insights to improve IT operations and employee experiences. The platform now includes:
AI Sentiment Analysis capabilities that assess and improve employee experience by analysing free text surveys. Fleet Explorer, a new AI-powered natural language processing tool that enables users to query fleet data instantly for actionable insights. There are pre-built scripts, alerts and dashboards to help organisations effectively monitor device fleets and automate workflows.
