“He supported you”: Shannon Sharpe is “targeted” by Mo’Nique sparking widespread outrage among fans
Shannon Sharpe has denied allegations of sexually assaulting an OnlyFans model and has repeatedly reiterated that the relationship was “consensual”. But the NFL legend is still facing a $50 million lawsuit and has another former girlfriend accusing him of sexual assault. While many of Shannon Sharpe’s friends and associates have supported him, popular comedian Mo’Nique has mocked him, and fans are not happy about it.
Shannon Sharpe gets mocked by comedian friend, Mo’Nique, but fans support him
The popular comedian, Mo’Nique, appeared on the Club Shay Shay podcast last year where she sort of advised Shannon Sharpe on relationships.
Back then, she had told Shannon Sharpe, “You don’t need no 26-year-old girl, you don’t need no 36-year-old girl… take your old a** and get you an old b**ch out there that can love you old.”
While Shannon Sharpe was not sued then, a year later he has been sued, and Mo’Nique appeared on Katt Williams’ Heaven On Earth comedy tour on 3rd May 2025 and mocked the NFL legend.
Mo’Nique went on stage and said, “Here it come, baby. Here it come, God damn it. Yes, I told that n**ga Shannon Sharpe leave the white b**ches alone!”
Initially shocked by this joke, the crowd soon erupted in laughter as many cheered her on.
Fans are furious at Mo’Nique for mocking Shannon Sharpe
But as soon as the video of Mo’Nique trolling Shannon Sharpe went viral, fans were disappointed and furious.
A fan commented, “Just a random thought but maybe Shannon decision making, maturity level as a man pushing 60 is more of the problem than the color of the woman??? I mean Shannon discuss porn stars like a man who watching entirely too much porn. Bigger issue is Shannon self control.”
Another fan wrote, “Monique is not at her best when she waxes on other’s troubles when she has enough of her own. Shannon suppprted her by allowing her a platform and Monique disparages him in the court of public opinion. She’s a gutter snipe.”
A third fan commented, “Safe space : Why do sistas care soooo much about who brothas date ? There’s a billion of other men in this world… some of y’all act like y’all don’t love us on here but it’s showing that you really care . What is it because you guys don’t wanna date anyone else & you’re scared?”
Another user posted, “You don’t kick a brother when he’s down. Stop the “I told you so” syndrome. Show the same kindness people have shown you after your fallout with Hollywood.”
Shannon Sharpe has not commented on the way he was trolled by Mo’Nique. The NFL legend has kept himself busy with his work as he claims being innocent.
