Grenade attack on Hindu temple in Punjab's Khandwala

AMRITSAR: Unidentified assailants reportedly hurled a grenade at the Hindu temple, Thakurdwara, situated in the Khandwala area of Punjab on Saturday morning, police said.
According to reports, two attackers, carrying a flag, arrived on a motorcycle and threw an object inside the temple, which later exploded.
The incident occurred around 12.35am on Saturday.
Police personnel have obtained CCTV footage of the incident and have initiated an investigation.
Amritsar’s police commissioner, Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said he visited the site to assess the situation.
Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries have been reported.
However, the extent of property damage is still being assessed.
