The prestigious Formula 1 Promoter Awards took center stage at London’s Natural History Museum, gathering leaders from all 24 Grands Prix to celebrate excellence in race event management. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the Miami Grand Prix as the Promoter of the Year, recognizing its remarkable success in delivering an exceptional sports and entertainment spectacle.

Miami Grand Prix Managing Partner, Tom Garfinkel, received the award on behalf of South Florida Motorsports, marking a significant achievement for the relatively new addition to the F1 calendar.
Garfinkel expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, “On behalf of Stephen Ross and our team in Miami, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Formula 1 and Stefano Domenicali for the honour of being named the Promoter of the Year.” He acknowledged the high standards set by other promoters and credited his dedicated team, particularly President Tyler Epp, for their relentless effort in making the Miami Grand Prix a standout event. “We hope to continue raising the bar and furthering the growth of Formula 1 in the United States,” he added, reflecting the team’s ambition to solidify F1’s presence in the American market.
The Formula 1 Promoter Awards celebrated outstanding contributions in various categories, showcasing the creativity, innovation, and dedication of event organizers worldwide. Seven accolades were presented, highlighting exceptional achievements in event spectacle, fan experience, sustainability, and community engagement.
The Miami Grand Prix earned the top honor by delivering an all-round event that perfectly embodied F1’s mission to create the world’s greatest sports and entertainment spectacle. Its vibrant atmosphere, top-tier hospitality, and immersive fan experiences contributed to its recognition as the best event of 2024.
Other notable winners included the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which was celebrated for its mesmerizing event spectacle, featuring nightly headline concerts and a breathtaking end-of-season firework display. The Singapore Grand Prix was honored for its exceptional fan experience, boasting expansive entertainment options, innovative wayfinding, and clear branding.
Sustainability played a crucial role at this year’s awards, reflecting Formula 1’s commitment to environmental responsibility. The Belgian Grand Prix received the Innovative ESG Activation award for its comprehensive low-carbon travel solutions and effective recycling strategy, ensuring all waste was diverted from landfill. Meanwhile, the Australian Grand Prix was recognized as the Community Changemaker for its impactful social programs, which included community engagement, accessibility initiatives, and the celebration of native culture.
In a special category, Rachel Rong of the Chinese Grand Prix was awarded the Pole Position accolade, celebrating her exceptional contributions to delivering an outstanding event in 2024.

Formula 1 President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali, praised the dedication and creativity of the promoters, emphasizing their role in driving the sport’s global success. “Our promoters provide the incredible backdrop to our sport, and their hard work, creativity, and innovation are central to Formula 1’s success. As the sport continues to grow, we have a responsibility to deliver bigger, better, and more sustainable events for our fans—a challenge that I know drives our promoter teams every day,” Domenicali stated, applauding the winners and nominees for their remarkable efforts.
