Fire breaks out at transformers near power sub-station in Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh | Raipur News

NEW DELHI: A fire broke out on Monday at transformers kept near a power company’s sub-station in Raigarh.
The fire spread rapidly due to the presence of inflammable elements, prompting an immediate response from the fire department.
No casualties have been reported so far.
According to power department executive engineer Gunjan Sharma, “All fire tenders reached the spot within 10-20 minutes and due to the presence of inflammable elements, the fire spread rapidly. The fire was caught by all the failed transformers. The reason behind the fire is still not clear.”
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire, while efforts are being made to assess the extent of the damage.
